Wedding Accessories: Jewelry

Your bridal accessories can make your wedding look.  A necklace or bracelet or earrings can add romance, softness, glamour, elegance, sparkle, and so many other details to your wedding day.  Your wedding dress is the cake and the accessories are the intricate details in the icing.

There are many options when choosing your accessories, first look at your dress and the style of your wedding.  You don't necessarily want to wear thousands of dollars worth of diamonds if you are doing a rustic vintage wedding outside.  Play up your personality.  Do you want to display heritage with your grandmother's earrings?  Do you want to make it yourself as a DIY project? Do you want simple or over the top?

You can acquire your wedding jewelry by several methods: buy, borrow, rent.  There are options to buy your wedding jewelry from looking at local estate stores, boutiques, mainline jewelers, Etsy, etc.  We personally love Etsy because you can purchase unique pieces and then combine them to make a look just for you.  You can also use your accessories as "something borrowed" from a friend or relative.  In addition, many jewelers will let you rent bridal jewelry with a deposit, don't hesitate to ask.
