Vintage Wedding Hair Styles

For the brides that want a touch of vintage or a complete vintage wedding, choosing a vintage hairstyle may be a great option. One of the most popular trends is to use a birdcage veil. The birdcage veil on its own or with an accessory like a flower or vintage brooch is a beautiful way for a bride to showcase the hair and the design element of the back of the wedding gown.

Accessories play a large part when adding vintage style to your wedding look. You can add hair combs, feathers, flowers, hats, veils, headbands, pins, and brooches.  All of the samples posted and so many more can be purchased on etsy.com.  Stay tune for future posts where we will also show you how to make your own!

Another great option is the vintage waves, or finger waves. It is a classic look that adds a great touch of vintage to any wedding. With a short cut the waves register the 1920s and 1930s similar to Jean Harlow and Bette Davis. You can pair the style with a brooch, full veil, or birdcage veil.

A great source of inspiration is always to look back to all the vintage starlets.
