Rachael has visited more then twenty-seven countries in five continents yielding a wealth of rich experiences and cosmopolitan knowledge of the world's top destinations. This unique exposure to all different cultures, fashions, and traditions gives her a large pool of inspirations to choose from when helping you design your one-of-a-kind wedding. Because of her experiences around the world, Rachael can help you plan the details of your destination wedding and give you personal testimony to many desirable locations such as Hawaii, Mexico, Thailand, and many sites throughout Europe.
One of the most notable experiences of her travels is the time she spent in Fort Portal, Uganda assisting women in this remote region by providing them access to business education and founding a business cooperative to connect them to the international market. Her relationship with women artisans around the globe allows her exclusive access to low-cost and socially conscious wedding favor and gift ideas.
Like many young women, Rachael has been surrounded by brides during the last several years and has had a lot of practice consulting with them through their dreaming, designing, and planning processes. From this experience, Rachael has gained an abundance of wedding planning knowledge and eventually discovered her talent for wedding design. Rachael’s passion for vintage wedding planning was further spurred by the planning of her own vintage and spa inspired wedding in the mountains of Northern New Mexico.
Rachael also has a variety of practical experience in the industry. Rachael spent four years planning group events at the University level under the Office of Student Life. She also has experience as a Group Events Consultant for Angel Fire Resort and Country Club, where she has gained detailed insights into the inner workings of developing a successful event.
As an undergraduate Honors student at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, Rachael excelled receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations in 2006. Additionally, Rachael received her Masters Degree in International Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon in 2009. She has also taught financial literacy classes and continues to work with a Certified Financial Planner. These experiences help her create and manage realistic budgets for her brides. With her strong negotiating skills, outstanding contacts with key vendors, and low-cost creative projects, she can help you get the most for your money.
Today, Rachael lives primarily on the Big Island of Hawaii dedicating herself to her passion for assisting couples around the country in designing their wedding to be one of the most memorable, care-free, and touching days of their lives.
