The Last Day of Summer

The weather is starting to change here in the NW and you know that summer is coming to an end.  Today is the official last day of summer 2011.  Heather, our wedding consultant living and working in the Portland area, is taking a moment to remember and enjoy the summer sunshine and is also excited for the the changes of the fall.  Rachael, living and working in Hawaii, has the joy of beautiful summer weather all year which is perfect for a beach wedding in January!  All seasons provide us with so many fantastic choices in wedding options and trends.

We take a moment to celebrate summer 2011.. colorful wildflowers, sunny outdoor ceremonies, statement decor, vintage-country touches, refreshing colors, sandy beaches, and so many more beautiful moments (and of course our own co-owner's wedding)!

And as we look towards the fall, we just wanted to share some of the wedding trends for the season!  A favorite trend that is very popular for the fall is 'something old.'  Brides are leaning towards incorporating vintage touches and heirloom antiques.  Also this fall is embracing classic traditions, DIY inspired looks, rich jewel tones and slate gray color palettes, beautifully colored shoes, and environmentally-conscious weddings.
